Transport Programme 2021–2027 – Cohesion Fund
The project’s objective is to develop a liquid bulk products terminal (excluding fossil fuels), with a storage capacity of 15,500 tons and an operating capacity of 230,000 tons/year, in the river-maritime area of Constanta Port.
The investment addresses a real deficit in port capacity for non-petroleum liquid products — liquid bitumen, biofuels, and liquid fertilizers — and contributes to shifting volumes from road and rail transport to water transport, with a reduced environmental impact.
Six investment components that make up the completed terminal.
Development of the port platform with a total area of 9,714 m².
120 m railway line within the terminal premises and its connection to the existing line in the river-maritime area of the port.
Development of the loading-unloading ramp for trucks.
3 tanks of 5,000 tons each (biofuels, bitumen, liquid fertilizers), 1 working tank of 500 tons, pumping stations, and discharge/loading pipelines for ships, railway wagons, and tank trucks.
Administrative building, plot fencing, and video surveillance system necessary for terminal operation.
Full provision of facilities for fire prevention and extinguishing.
